AppleTV free with multiple purchase plus date format on iTunes and AppleTV

Hi there,

on Febraury technically my free year of AppleTV expires, but I've bought a new Apple product on July. I called support I can't use it because I've bought the product while the other offer was standing. I've received an email telling on Febraury it will expire, but on my account page INTO Italian it says as a date 02/07/2021 in Italy we use as a form for dates DAY/MONTH, but the support said they use the American standard. Does sound right to you?

If you have an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, or Apple TV box, then you subscription renewal date will be listed with a named month, not causing confusion about the date notation. At least that is how it is on my devices. See your subscriptions - Apple

Many users have found their free subscription period extended to July, so that seems entirely possible.

This is how it appears in my account

  • At any rate, the offer is only valid for the 1st qualifying purchase so regardless of your current trial purchasing another product would not grant a new trial. From the terms "Only one offer per Family, regardless of number of devices purchased."

No problem, however if the support rep actually told you that you that you are eligible for a new offer then it was incorrect information. What I posted are the distinct terms for the offer. Once a user has purchased a qualifying product and claimed the offer they are no longer eligible to claim an offer, no matter how many other products are purchased. To be fair it would be moot anyway, if the purchase in question was from July (as you stated) then it would have been invalid as the offer expires after 3 months.

No he told me the opposite that my offer will expire on Feb 7th and not on the 2nd of July, as it says... he told me exactly that I wasn't supposed to have my offer renewed because I bought the item while the other one was still active. But my "next billing date" says the opposite 🤷🏻‍♀️

The offer cannot be claimed more than once, so even if the current offer expired you still wouldn't be able to get a new one. Users trials were originally extended to Feb and then more recently to July, the rep likely just mistakingly said 7th instead of 2nd.

At any rate, the day would be based on when you originally claimed the offer. For example, I claimed mine on Nov 22 and the expiry is now for July 22.
