Keyboard and trackpad don’t work

My keyboard and trackpad only work when I’m logging into my account. After I log in and my mac goes to the home screen, my trackpad and keyboard don’t work at all. I’ve tried resetting the laptop multiple times and let it sit overnight and it still doesn’t work. I’m unsure what the issue is considering the keyboard and trackpad work perfectly fine every time I log in and type in my password, but after that it just doesn’t work at all. I have the 2017 MacBook Air. Thanks for any help in advance!!

I am not sure what you meant by resetting the MacBook Air however I will still list them in case you would like to try the process again.

Reset SMC by following the directions applicable to your MacBook here ➔ How to Reset SMC. If that does not solve things then-
Reset NVRAM/PRAM by following the directions applicable to your MacBook here ➔ How to Reset NVRAM/PRAM. If that does not solve things then-
Enter ➔ Safe Mode and see if the screen issue still exists in Safe mode. Log out of Safe Mode and then reboot computer. If that does not solve things then-
Finally if none of the above works then you can enter ➔ macOS Recovery Mode and reinstall the macOS and see if that solves it.
