iPad Pro 12.9 1st gen problems with Apple software and apps

I have not been able to successfully install iPadOS 14.X which hasn’t really bothered me much until iMovie offloaded and now won’t re-install. I tried all of the including a complete factory reset from backup of my device, and neither will work. I have 20GB free. I was in the middle of editing a movie on iMovie which is really all I really want and need urgently. Has anyone else seen these issues? Anyone have suggestions or solutions?

Well, depending on the time duration and resolution quality of the movie you were trying to edit, 20 GBs is a paltry amont of space to do any type of serious video editing.

Also, you probably had less than 20 Gbs to work with as iOS/iPadOS needs, at least, 2-4 GBs maintained as an OS operational reserve, free data storage space amount.

Have you tried recovering Apple iMovie from your Purchases area of the iOS App Store?

In the future, never remove Apple installed apps, as you will never know when you won’t be able to download/install an older or previous version.

Apple does this ALL the time to force users to upgrade/update the OS on their devices OR have to purchase a new or more recent, used device.

Good Luck to You!
