No video with screen mirroring from iphone

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. From our understanding you are not seeing videos that are playing on your device when you are mirroring your iPhone screen, do we have that right? What type of video are you attempting to mirror? Are you mirroring videos created on your iPhone from the Photos app or videos from a different app like YouTube or Netflix? The reason we ask, is that some apps may not support AirPlay or mirroring to other devices.

Have you tried the steps in this article: If AirPlay or screen mirroring isn’t working on your device.

Thank you for clarifying that. Just to make sure we're on the same page, this is happening anytime you mirror your iPhone's screen regardless of what app is on the screen, do we have that right? In other words, if your iPhone is on the Home Screen, you do not see the Home Screen on your Apple TV, correct?

Did you have a chance to try the steps in the article previously provided?

Since noticing this issue, has your iPhone been restarted? How about the Apple TV?
