iMac will not start up

My Mac begins to start up with apple logo and progress bar. After about 30 seconds, and halfway on progress bar, it shuts off. Any possible ideas why and what I may be able to do?

If your computer will not start up after trying the items listed in the links above, please make an appointment at your local Apple Authorized Service Provider and take it in to be professionally diagnosed. If you don't know where an Apple Authorized Service Provider is please use the following link to find one in your general area.
