I forgot my password to my macbook, I tried to recover it but now it’s saying to select a user I know the password for.... I have no idea what to do.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.0

Hi itisntkim,

In macOS Catalina and later, macOS Recovery now requires authentication to continue. Unfortunately, this also makes it harder to reset your password.
