Logic playhead line freezes

Is there a bug in Logic?

I have the newest updates and the all new mac with the M1 chip...however the playhead constantly is freezing, and it makes me nuts!

Is anybody else experincing this? Any solution to permanently fixing this

Logic Pro screen freeze in play mode Hello everyone. Recently bought a M1 Macbook Air specifically so as to upgrade to Logic 10.6.1 Having installed I find that the playhead moves for a couple of seconds and then stops, even though Logic continues play the sequence and ouput audio. Closer inspection reveals that meters also freeze at the same moment. Clicking almost anywhere on Logic unfreezes the display momentarily, but it locks up again a few seconds later. I've updated OS, to 11.2.3; and followed all the suggestions on the support page - including binning and then reinstalling Logic. I'd be very grateful if anyone could give me some kind of lead to follow here. Thanks in advance

FCP keeps crashing Hi, I have a 2020 M1 pro MacBook, but every time I run FCP it loads up then buffers with the ball, and has to be forced quit. I'm running 10.6.4 FCP. Does anyone have any ideas what the issue might be? I have no errors on the Media in the library so nothing appears corrupt... I should have no issues using an M1 and haven't until recently.

Final Cut Pro x app hangs on Validating audio units Can’t fire up FCPX. It starts then hangs on Validating Audio units. Stuck here. I reboot and try again, same thing. I even deleted the app and installed fresh copy. Still no go. Was working fine till I updated. Thanks for any help. Using Mac mini M1

Pretty sure you will have to wait for more updates, sounds like a graphics glitch, the project keeps playing, correct?

If you do a quick stop/start does the playhead start up again? The only other thing I can think of is 3rd party plugins. have you tried a project with only Logic plugins?
