ipod transfer to itunes on a new computer

I have just bought a new laptop,and I have downloaded itunes. I want to transfer music from my ipod to my new laptop. I have copied music from my ipod to a folder on my desktop. The folders are F00 to F49. Now the problem is this. When I open a folder I do see music but the music is all mixed up,( songs from various artists ans albums) around 12 songs. I did copy 1 folder into itunes but again the music is all mixed up. Not from just 1 album. Can someone please help me so that all my music is as it should be IE into different albums as it is on my ipod. Please help. Thank you.

Syncing generally goes from the laptop to the iPod, not the other way around. For more info, see:

Should you be in the unfortunate position where you don't have access to your old computer, then you might try this article:
