How to change file location of all iTunes songs

I recently got a windows PC and wanted to migrate my library of songs form my iPod to my pc, which I thought I could do by connecting my iPod to the PC, accessing the files on it, and copying them over. I realize when I did this, it linked all my songs to the "D drive" which was my connected iPod which made it so all my songs couldn't be located when I went to play them when the iPod was disconnected.

I've since transferred all the songs onto my PC's C drive and want to change the file destinations of all the songs from the iPod/ D drive to the C drive but I cant find a way to do that other than editing each song individually. I've tried just re-adding the files that are in the correct locations but then I get every song duplicated and half of them cant be played.

I do not want to change the destination of my actual iTunes media library folder/ iTunes library. I just want to change the file destinations of my songs from the D to C drive.

See Recover media from an iPod - Apple Community. It would seem that you have added the content from an iPod to your library in a way that hasn't correctly imported it to a media folder independent of your device, or renamed the tracks to reflect your metadata. Manually copying things outside of iTunes isn't the way this should be done, and the lack of standardised names prevents any method I know of reconnecting the files to the library.

You should connect your iPod so that it appears as drive D: again, repairing the currently broken links, reset the media folder such that it is an iTunes Media folder in the folder that holds your iTunes library, then use File > Library > Organize Library > Consolidate Files to copy in the music files and update the database so that it no longer looks for them on the D: drive.
