Dual boot an older version of OS X

Hey,

So I am trying to install Yosemite or El Capitan on my MacBook Pro 2017 (with BigSur on it). I created an APFS Volume to install it on. However, whenever I open the installer, it asks me:

This package will run a program to determine if the software can be installed.

and then:

This version of OS X 10.10 cannot be installed on this computer.

Am I trying the impossible? Any solutions how I can dual boot an older version on my MacBook?

You can't install Yosemite or El Capitan on a APFS volume for one thing. You also can't boot a Mac with a version of macOS earlier than what it shipped with. Sierra in the case of a 2017 MBP.

The only option would be to create a VM in Parallels Desktop or VMWare Fusion.
