My messages use to go to all devices on my account. However since 1/3/21 messages are no longer loading on my Mac. It is an early 2008 running OS 10.11. I loved that I could archive old messages on my Mac. Is there a solution other than buy a new Mac?

Yes this did help. At some point I changed my password but never got around to updating it on my Mac. Since my iPhone and iPad were working properly it did not dawn on me to check the preferences on the desktop. Thanks.
