Shortcut Keys | Today's Date

This certainly is not the default key combination. I never heard of a date and time shortcut..Maybe something in Accessibility if you are sight impaired.

Otherwise in upper right corner of the menu bar is the fixed date and time which seems readily available

Are you able to create a shortcut commanding different keys? We ask because Shift-Command-D is already set to Open the desktop folder. The conflicting commands may be why this isn't working for you. If you're still unable to set that shortcut, reach out here: Contact Apple Support
