iPhone Lacking Controls For HomePod Minis

Hello, my wife and I just received 3 HomePod Minis. I set up our Home and she is a family member on that app. I set up two of our HomePod Minis with my phone. When I access them in the Home app, I see a lot of controls and can do everything. When my wife accesses them, she has very few controls, one being Personal Requests, so she cant turn that on or off. Is there something else she needs to do to be able to access all of the controls for the HomePods? Thanks!
