I can't download apps to the iWatch I set up with Family Sharing.

I can't download apps to the iWatch I set up with Family Sharing. The iWatch has a different Apple id from the Apple id used on the iPhone to set up Family Sharing. Can someone please tell me what settings I need to change to fix this issue?

I can now get to the App Store and try to download an app to my iWatch. But it asks for the password for the Apple ID i use on the watch. I key in the same password I used for my Apple ID but it says it is wrong.

Just to be sure, I went to iCloud on my iMac and keyed in the same username and password and it works. So I am not sure why the same password for my Apple ID on my iWatch doesn't work.
