Mac book air - USB superdrive

My brand new Mac book air 2020, tells me to connect my Mac USB suerdrive to a USB port. It doesn't have any! I am using a Satechi USB to C dongle, why is it not working? How can Increase the power, when the Mac book is connected to mains power. The USB dongle are USB 3.0 ports.

Which Adapter to Use:

Consider going brand-for-brand(Apple-for-Apple). Though not necessary, it will increase reliability and trustworthiness. This is the adapter to use: USB-C to USB Adapter

Your computer is telling you that your Superdrive needs to have more power than it currently does via a USB port.I have also read that it needs a direct connection - no adapters, etc. I have an external burner/player with its own power and a direct connection which works perfectly. So you may want to check out other burner/players.
