Hey jessdee,

We understand you're experiencing shorter battery life than expected on your iPhone XS. We'll do all we can to help out.

To get started, if you just installed the update, keep in mind that it can take up to 48 hours for your iPhone to adjust to the new software, at which point your battery performance should get back to normal.

Next, check to be certain your battery is still in good health by going to Settings > Battery > Battery Health. If you're unable to deliver peak performance or your battery's max capacity is approaching or below 80%, it would be best to replace your battery.

If your battery appears to be in good health, then we would suggest checking your battery usage to better identify what's eating into your battery. To do so, go to Settings > Battery and check out where there are spikes in battery usage. Tap on them to identify the apps contributing to the spike in battery consumption.

If you have apps consuming more battery than you'd expect based on your usage, update affected apps in the App Store and reinstall them, if needed.

We hope this information helps out.

Have a great day!
