Security issues prior to or including IOS 16.7? Apple documentation states that security issues exist in IOS before 16.7. Then I read an article on a techie website that states IOS 16.7 and 17.0 have security issues and updates available. Can someone clear this up please? Seems people are having issues with 17.0 and 17.0.1. I don't want to update my iPad or iPhone from 16.7 if I don't have to right now , not until this is clear and bugs are worked out. Thanks!

safety of old IPad? I have an old IPad 2 that has iOS 9.35. Is it safe to use after the security issue that requires 14.8 be installed. I know it can be updated any further I just want to know if the security issue only affects the iOS 13 and 14 devices or if I should reset my IPad to factory settings and only use it for non internet purposes because of this issue Thank you for your help!

The most recent update for iOS12.x, released early January, was iOS 12.5.1.

Currently none

The current security threats appear to only affect newer Apple iOS/iPadOS 13/14 devices.
