Preventing the formation of Favicons

Ever since installing Big Sur on two desktops and a laptop, I've been getting, what I call, "Bookmark Beachballs". I haven't received any help with the problem, and haven't found anything recent about it on the web.

I've tried numerous things, such as deleting caches and history, performing safe starts, etc., to no avail.

The beachballs would show Safari as hanging in Activity Monitor, but numerous runs of EtreCheckPro has never mentioned anything about the hanging.

This problem has never presented itself on three iPads.

This problem does not present itself while using any other browser using the same bookmarks, on any other computer,

A few days ago, I happened to notice the beachball continued until, what I believe is called, 'Favicons', showed up on the left of a few bookmarks.

I have unselected, 'Show website icons in tabs', but the Favicons still show up for a few bookmarks.
