Changes which version? The OS (yes); Logic Pro - installing an OS does not change the version of extra software. So you will need to figure out the Logic Pro version that will work with your present or future OS.
I am assuming your Logic Pro is an older version? When did you buy it? Or, if it is brand new, then it should work.

what year and model is your laptop? You may not be able to install Big Sur if it is older.

Maybe. What's the version number you are trying to install?
Its a 2017 MacbookPro, I can definitely install it but wondering if updating the Big Sur update also changes the version.
