Dropped phone, screen partially black?
Is there any solution if you've dropped your phone and you're getting lines down it now, so half of it is black and half is legible and you can see that it's still working ok?
Damaged and needs repair.

In addition to the above... If you don’t have a current backup and can still get one with this (broken) iPhone, get that backup now. A partially-broken iPhone can (unfortunately) become a fully-broken iPhone, and (unfortunately) not everybody has backups.
