Apple care + for MacBook Air from Best Buy

I bought MacBook Air 2020 from Best Buy Canada, and then I tried to add apple care for it. When I looked up with serial #, it says, this service is not eligible for this product. any leads ?

Call Apple support. had a similar issue and they straightened things

out and my MacBook Air now has AppleCare+. When I called with the

same issue, they verified that that my serial number was authentic

but had no clue as to why it was reporting that it was ineligible.

Guess they haven't fixed the bug yet.
