Apple Watch resting heart rate calculation

Hi!


The Apple Watch calculates my resting heart rate by measuring randomly my heart beat when I’m sleeping instead of measuring throughout the day when I’m just resting (not sleeping). It results in a figure 10 bpm below my average resting heart rate as calculated by my Fitbit.


is it normal ? Are they going to fix that ? My resting heart rate is not 42, that’s sure. 400 EUR for this watch, a bit disappointed...
