Shows resetting to beginning after pausing

Every time I pause something on the Apple app on my fire stick, the episode or movie restarts from the beginning. It doesn’t save your spot. How can I fix this?

If the same continues after signing out and resetting your Apple TV app, it may be best to reach out to Apple Support directly. You can reach out from Get Support or using the direct phone number for your region from Contact Apple for support and service.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that your shows and movies do not resume where you left off after pausing.


Do you have any other devices that you use for Apple TV+ ? If so, does this only happen on the Fire Stick or all devices? Try signing out and resetting your Apple TV app as mentioned in Get the Apple TV app on your smart TV, streaming device, or game console, then sign back in and see if the same continues.
