Since iOS 14.4 update - unable to verify camera
My iPhone 12 Pro was purchased directly from Apple and has never been repaired. Why would I be receiving the message “Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple camera?”

Well guys, I brought my camera in to the Apple store and had it fixed. They fixed it for free. It was a genuine apple camera, too. They said it probably came to me broken and the update just triggered the software to stop working properly when it found the problem. 🤷🏼♀️ Still kind of annoying with it being only 2 1/2 months old.
My iPhone 13 pro is doing exactly this… it’s only 3 weeks old 😩
It’s an apple software issue that apparently cannot be fixed. Happens to new phones
Been having an issue similar to yours but it’s my Ultrawide mode that doesn’t work on Apples camera app. But if I use a third party one it works. Interestingly, the ultrawide lens works in video on apples camera app.
Also brand new, having this alert since the update, camera never messed with. But my camera is also zoomed in and can’t do portrait mode anymore. Anyone else having this issue??
Nothing to do with the update. Yout camera has a fault.
First try a Forced restart

If no better
You should arrange a repair

Yes! It works just fine in other apps, just not when I open the camera. Ugh. 🤦🏼♀️
