Why is my Whatsapp back up is stuck?

WhatsApp- When trying to backup my chats… WhatsApp is stuck in ‘preparing’ my WhatsApp normally backs up automatically (set as daily) received a notification that it hadn’t backed up since Monday when I tried to back it up manually, it’s stuck in ‘preparing’ Things I have tried:- checked storage which has 98GB free space soft reset on iPhone toggled off/on wi-fi , Bluetooth, airplane mode reset Network Settings on iPhone In settings on iPhone, in iCloud , toggled off WhatsApp app then whilst it’s still off, soft reset my iPhone again, toggled WhatsApp back on again in iCloud and tried to backup WhatsApp again, but it’s still stuck in ‘preparing’ Any ideas to resolve this issue, would be much appreciated Thanks

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities! We understand your concern with your WhatsApp backup getting stuck, and we're happy to assist you in any way possible.

Make sure you've followed the recommendations shown on the screenshot and connect to a reliable Wi-Fi network while leaving the iPhone connected to the charger. The iPhone should complete the backup in this condition.
