File conversion “ select the encoding that makes your document readable” on Microsoft word, how to solve and open documents back again to normal

Text encoding, Non readable, does anybody know how to get out of this problem? It not possible to some time to open a document using microsoft word in mac, it is not readable, I tried each of the encoding others in the box to the right, one by one, it remained unreadable, the document can be open with pdf ok, the same document can be open with chrome, I open the same document with chromebook google Document, I save it to be open with word, I uploaded the google document back in my macbook, I try opening it with word in my macbook, the same encoding problem you see down, not readable. it is just not possible whatever it is telling you to select, none of the thing in box work.
