If you're talking about this adapter:--> USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter - Apple

then yes (see section "Compatibility" at the bottom of that page).

Lightning digital AV adapter and lightning to usb C as a combo to connect my iPad to a HDMI screen? I have a lightning digital AV adapter. I use it to connect my iPad 9 to a HDMI screen. Why do your want to use an adapter when in most cases you can do the same thing via AirPlay?
