Speaker (left) all of a sudden making funny sound on my MBP 11.14

I am running 10.15.7 on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015).

Since a few days I am getting a dumpf sound out of the left speaker.

It might be coincidence but, but after I noticed it I had before that point been listening to a clip online that I than opened in VLC to extract the moving part and remove the soundtrack as well as shortening the clip.  It had not extreme sounds in it that I can think of that could have damaged the speaker.

I did a restart but that did not make it go away.

I also checked if Audio MIDI Setup would do anything, but it seems not to do anything about it.

I used theses sounds in Apple Script (just paste it in) so you can compare this to the sound file I uploaded.

do shell script "afplay /System/Library/Sounds/Basso.aiff"
delay 0.1
do shell script "afplay /System/Library/Sounds/Bottle.aiff"

File is here: https://sndup.net/5ds9

Any ideas anybody?
