Error during Catalina install on ext SSD: The operation couldn’t be completed. (PKDownloadError error 2)

Hi, tried installing last version of Catalina via recovery on a generic 500GB SSD from China (ebay) but i keep getting this error, The operation couldn’t be completed. (PKDownloadError error 2)


i found comments about an error 8 but nothing about a error 2, anyone know what it is ?
