video on iTunes showing on music library
Somehow all my videos have found their way into my music library. Can they be moved to the correct one?
Windows, Windows 10

Most peculiar. This is in Windows right? Where is the File tab? What options are shown if you tap the media kind selector to expand the list? Are these purchased videos from the iTunes Store or something else?

Yes Windows 10. Only option shown is Music. I tried to show a screenshot of the drop down menu but it didn't work (as shown above) This is a DVD I copied to iTunes. I have several others, all showing under Music. The tabs are at the top of the screenshot
Have reinstalled but with no change to drop down box. Have checked the file properties which are shown as MPEG-4 Video File (.m4v). to open in iTunes. In the file explorer these files are shown under TV Shows.
See the top of the Scripts page for details, but the basic steps are to save the script on your computer, select one or more items in the library (start with one and test first) then double-click the script to run it and follow any prompts. This one sets a property called VideoKind that you cannot reach using the dialog boxes, and that iTunes doesn't always set consistently. There is an outside chance it would help but I think there is something else going on you need to fix.
Thinking on about the missing File tab are you looking at content in your local library or are you connected to another using Home Sharing or some other library sharing mechanism?

I've tried an alternative method. I copied to Folder with all the episodes to an external h/drive. Deleted the series from iTunes. Then copied the files back to the TV Programmes and it worked. It may be that when I originally copied the files to iTunes, I accidentally copied them to the wrong folder. Anyway thanks very much for your assistance, much obliged.
No, sorry. Still not the answer. Media kind is still only music.
You can select the files and change the media kind to Movie, TV Show or Home Video as appropriate with the Get Info dialog (Ctrl+i).

Unfortunately that does'nt work. Under options there is only one library shown for media option and that is music, you can't change it.
Try reinstalling iTunes. That dialog box appears to be incomplete.

There should be a file tab. You can try my script SetVideoKindTV which might have some impact, but I'm not optimistic.

Thanks but sorry do not know what to do with this script
It shouldn't really matter where they are, but glad to you've resolved it. 🙂
