I received this email from Apple 2/1/2021 is this legit?

Your Apple ID was Locked

Dear Customer, Your Apple ID has been locked for security reasons. We see new logins

with your associated Apple account from devices we don't recognize and

need to update your account ownership information, so we can protect

your account and improve our services to protect your privacy. To continue using your account again, we advise you to update the

information before 24 hours or your account will be permanently locked. go to : **** your information

  • Apple would not warn of a pending account issue, giving you a deadline to fix the issue.  
  • Apple does not include document, or PDF files to download.
  • Apple would not refer to you as Dear Customer(s), Dear Client(s), or anything other than the name on file for your account.
  • Apple would not have such horrible spelling or grammar. 
  • Apple would not send a message to “Undisclosed Recipients”. 


It is a phishing attempt. Do not respond. Do not divulge any personal or financial information. You can use the address below to forward the suspect email message, as an attachment to Apple.

If you provided your Apple ID and password at the bogus site, change your password immediately.
