How to fix server on my iPhone, aol mail
When I am not on my home wifi, I almost always, get a pop up message.....continuously....that they “cannot identify the server”. I have to power down and restart my phone to continue.

Thanks for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are unable to receive mail when not on Wi-Fi. We can understand why you'd reach out for a solution.
First, have you checked to see if you have Mail toggled on in Settings > Cellular? if so, let's try following this resource.
