Eye strain on MacBook and iPad

I just got a new M1 MacBook Pro. Look at the screen is hurting my eyes. I thought it was the smallish font or the brightness but i adjusted both and didn't find any improvement.

Back in December I bought an iPad but ended up giving it to my son for Christmas. I found I was spending too much screen time on arbitrary BS, but also it seemed to hurt my eyes. I thought the eye strain was related to the excessive screen time but it's the same with the MacBook.

I'm an Psych ER nurse and on slow nights I might be on my work PC 12 hours without any eye strain whatsoever. I also spend hours on my iPhone with no problems. I also own an HP PC and have never had this problem.

Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.1

It does not matter if anyone else is experiencing the same thing. You need to get your eyes checked by a doctor. If something was causing my eyes distress I would stop engaging in that activity until I saw a professional. It is like that old comedy routine where one commedian says to the other, it hurts when I poke myself in the eye with a stick. The other comedian tells the first to stop poking himself in the eye then.

Oh, and to answer your question, yes others experience eye fatigue/eye strain when using a computer.
