Perhaps a stupid question but how do you get a hashtag (#) from the number 3 on the above......? I have tried multiple combinations and a lot of websites refer to alt 3 and I have tried a number of keys I think might be alt but I don't have a specific one - any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

It depends on what you have checked in settings > general > keyboard > hardware keyboard > tap over at the right edge
Alt=Option
If British, then # is at Option 3
If US, then # is at Shift 3
If Automatic is checked, change it to British so you can be sure what mapping is being used.
