Is aluminum material dust plugs safe for iPad?
Hi. I’ve been using a dust plug for my charging port. It’s made up of aluminum material. I was wondering if using a dust plug with such material is safe for use with iPads and iPhones.

It is unwise to insert any metallic/conductive material in any connector - in particular USB or Lightning ports. Both of these port types have power connections that may be short-circuited; you may cause serious or irreparable damage to your iPad.
The only items that you should insert in these ports are a plug/connector specifically designed for the purpose.
The only exception to this is the rare occasion when dust/fluff or other debris may need to be removed - in which circumstances a small plastic or wooden pick might be gently used to dislodge foreign material. When so doing, it is necessary to be extremely careful to avoid damage to the fragile electrical contacts.

Safe - but only if specifically designed for the connector.
Always remember - any damage that you cause will not be covered by your Apple limited warranty.
