Cellular data not working even though fully connected

This problem has been going on for months now. My phone is fully connected to my network (lebara) and shows that i have LTE coverage, but won't really work. I can send and receive imessage, but if there are any pictures or videos involved they wont load. I will also receive Messenger notifications, but then i cannot load the messages or send them back! This happens with almost every app; I'll receive a notification for it but nothing loads on it at all. I was on the phone with Lebara for a while and they found no problem with it at all, so im beginning to think its a phone problem. Their records show that i am connected and use small tiny amounts of data. Ive had an XS Max for about a year and 8 months now. This is super frustrating and i've gone in circles now about this. hope someone can help!

iPhone XS Max, iOS 14

Hello mooch9999,

It looks like you're experiencing come issues accessing your cellular data when your device is showing that you're connected and have LTE coverage. Cellular data is important to have when you're on the go and not able to access a Wi-Fi connection. You've come to the right place for help.

Start with making sure your iPhone is up to date with all carrier bundles installed following the steps below.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad

After all updates have been installed go ahead and restart your iPhone. If you have any 3rd party security software or VPN connections in stalled on your iPhone we'll want to uninstall those as well.

When you go to Settings > Cellular (Mobile) > Cellular (Mobile) Data Options, be sure that Low Data Mode is not enabled as well.

If the issue continues reach back out to the community with any error messages you receive and the current iOS version you have installed.

Take care!
