AutoFill email addresses are completely wrong and uses defunct ones I eliminated years ago.

If I use Auto-fill for email, it uses an old one I eliminated years ago, and the other one is my third choice. Doesn’t even use the two primary ones I do use. Also, Ive read all the chat stuff about going in and just choosing another email from Safari-autofill-email. It doesn’t even list the ones I do use!! I have no problem with credit cards or addresses I use. But not emails! What can I do?

Hello, and thanks for your response.


I use a Imac, Ipad, and IPhone.

All are constantly updated with the latest OS and IOS software and all are on ICloud as a universal access to my address, email, and credit card info. They all source the same wrong email options in auto-fill when prompted.

My main identification sources in Settings are correct. They just never get the options correct when I try to use auto-fill.

It’s freaking crazy. Your thoughts?

Also, do you have a different Apple device that is signed in to the same Apple ID? If yes, are you experiencing a similar issue with your other device?

I've read the article about using it on a Mac, but it is not very helpful. I have a long list of websites, yet it still rarely ever fills out forms properly. How does it know to remember what I've put in various forms, and why would it get it so very wrong, I end up having to fill everything in manually? It will put my entire address, street, town, state & zip on the Address line, ignoring city/state/zipcode, so I constantly have to erase all the excess stuff, and individually input them where they belong.

Safari's autofill worked so much better, back when I used Snow Leopard, plus, you didn't have to make the extra step to click in the little pop-up window. Why does it work so much worse, after all the "advancements" & updates?
