Mouse pad on iPhone keyboard

using iPhone 12 Pro max

older iPhone X acted as mouse for curser on pressing on keyboard. New phone don’t?

We're glad you thought to ask Apple Support Communities about using the built-in keyboard as a trackpad. You should be able to do this by pressing and holding the Space bar with one finger. Those steps can be found under "Turn the onscreen keyboard into a trackpad" here: Type with the onscreen keyboard on iPhone
