Equalizer Not Working in AirPlay in a MacBook Air M1 using Apple Music

Hello.

The equalizer is not working while playing music with AirPlay from a MacBook Air M1 using Apple Music. I have adjusted the equalizer settings but it has no effect on the music when I play the music with AirPlay on an external AirPlay device. Previously, I used to use AirPlay in a Mac Pro 2008 to play music from iTunes 12.8, and the equalizer worked. I think that it was because it was AirPlay 1.

I have read that a user called turingtest2 gave this solution:

-No, you cannot downgrade AirPlay. You may find that if you redirect the output of your Mac rather than using AirPlay from within iTunes that you can use the iTunes equalizer. Use the Mac's volume control output switcher rather than the AirPlay icon in iTunes.

Please, can anyone tell me how to redirect the output of the MacBook Air M1 and how to use the Mac's volume control output switcher?

Thanks.
