In the main conversation screen in Messages, find the conversation that is muted. Press your finger on that conversation and pull to the left. Tap the alert button (looks like a bell).

how do i turn on the function that tells my contacts when going to text me that i am on do not disturb? i want my contacts to know when i am on do not disturb and i do not know how to make that function visible. you can see it when you go to text them, about the text box is the blue words “john is on so no disturb” i want that!
