IPHONE XS MAX DISPLAYS "unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine battery" after iOS 14 update

Hello,

I'm using iPhone xs max and I'm facing an issue right after the update from IOS 14.

after updating to IOS 14 my iPhone was quite normal and the performance was a bit slow but then later it started to reboot and display a warning message in setting as "unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine battery".

FYI

  1. I haven't given my iPhone for service or repair from the date of purchase. but it shows my iPhone doesn't have a genuine battery.
  2. when it reboots my battery percent shows to zero and it doesn't charge and my iPhone will be irresponsive and very slow that it can't even open the setting page.
  3. it reboots several times and then comes back to its normal state after some hours. when it's in normal condition it displays my battery health at 92% and my iPhone works fine and good. the battery also stands for a day. but when this issue occurs my iPhone is sh*t.

when I contact apple service center they charge for a diagnostic which is not affordable for me. also, I don't wanna pay for which is not even my mistake. it all happened after the ios 14 updates.

kindly i request for helping this out. it's really frustrating.

.

Hello Joseph,

it's not the fault of the battery. I have given it to the apple authorized service center and they are undergoing testing and they confirmed that the battery is in a good state. as I said earlier it's the fault with IOS and they are trying to figure it out. might be a manufacturing defect with my device. waiting for the end result of the diagnosis.
