When I updated to iOS 14.3 my phone developed a "grinding" noise when it rings, gets a notification, or any haptics. I have turned off all of the haptics and the vibrate but it still happens. I updated to 14.4 hoping that would make it stop, but it has not. Apple support told me to do a hard reset and set up as a new iPhone. That didn't help either. I really don't want to have to buy a new phone because of this.

Sounds like the haptic motor may have worked loose.
Either ignore it, or have it repaired.
Forum supporters strongly recommend Apple repair it, which in this case means a replacement phone. Cost out of warranty may be as low as 2/3 price of new.
