D2 note sustain stuck in Logic Pro with Novation Impulse 49, on midi channel 1 only

Logic Pro X 10.6.1

The D2 note stays "on" when Novation Impulse 49 is set to MidiChan 1 (wich I think includes all the midi chans...

The only way to stop this sustain is to change Impulse's MidiChan to 2 or higher...

But what can make it happen on MidiChan 1?

MIDI FOLKS!! Midi being sent back to external instrument being played causing doubling/phasing I'm using a cp88 keyboard (port 1 ch 1) sending midi over usb to logic. I want to record both the midi and the audio at the same time. But whenever I click on the midi track to record midi info I get phasing. I assume whats happening is the midi is going in and straight back out to double play the note. This happens whether is a regular midi track or one using external instrument plugin Is there a way to "mute" the midi outputs while recording. Turning off (power) the track doesn't fix it, nor does turning off the external midi plugin. The only solution I have is to click on a seperate audio track which for some reason records the midi info?? another odd midi thing. Then drag it to the midi track so I can use it for playback. If I switch to port 2 it fixes the phasing problem but then I lose playback??

Odd MIDI Recording Bug I suspect this issue is unique to my setup, since I haven't seen any analogous reports, but here goes: I recently purchased an Akai MPK249, which is a pretty nice keyboard controller. I've recorded numerous MIDI regions with it without difficulty. But lately, I've noticed this rather bizarre dysfunction where Logic simply will not record MIDI data that it's clearly receiving, since the software instrument being controlled is clearly producing audio. As a guitarist/bassist, I don't often record MIDI note data, but in my experience, when you're recording MIDI note data, Logic doesn't start creating a region until it receives the first note-on information. But now, that's not what's happening. In fact, with the metronome set to do a one-bar pre-roll, Logic starts creating the region in the preroll. But, even worse, it often (but not always) doesn't actually record the MIDI note data. Obviously it's receiving the data, because the software instrument on that track is producing output. (I don't think the problem is related to any particular software instrument since I've been able to reproduce it using Logic's native instruments, drum kits, and sample libraries contained in Native Instruments' Kontakt sample player.) And sometimes it will record the note data. It seems that it more reliably records the data if I start recording at the beginning of the project, but it frequently fails even under those conditions. Also: I can hand-enter MIDI note data in the piano roll interface without issue. So: Logic is clearly receiving MIDI data, because it's producing output. It's definitely in record mode—the control strip changes color to red, the record button is active, the track in question is record-enabled, and indeed a MIDI region is being created. Just no note data. Sometimes. I'd say roughly 40% of the time no note data is recorded. Sometimes I'll record MIDI data successfully three times in a row, and then without changing anything it will fail three or four times in a row. And then go back to working, without my changing anything other than the playhead position. Frustrating if you have to have done a decent performance, just to discover it wasn't recorded. Has anyone else experienced this issue? (I'm guessing not.) Anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing it?

Notes being recorded with wrong velocity Hello, I'm using a Arturia Keylab61 as a midi controller within Logic Pro X 10.6.3 and I'm experiencing some issues with recording midi notes. I sometimes randomly get low velocities inputs being recorded, specially when there's fast tones. I get random low values such as 1 sometimes and I'm sure I'm not hitting the keys that low. I've tested with the same instruments in Ableton Live and I don't experience that, so it's probably not my midi controller. I also tried changing the buffer size, resetting the midi driver, nothing. Has anyone experienced that? What can I try? Thanks Here's what it looks like on the piano roll (purple notes are usually value 1):

Open your controller assignments window, find whatever is assigned to D2 note off, and delete that.
