My iwatch series 6 doesn't notify sms or calls

Hi,

I have been using this watch for about a month. In a beginning, this watch worked perfectly fine, gave notifications of calls and SMS. It's been about a week, I do not receive any calls or SMS notifications on my watch. I have my phone locked and in a sleep mode and my watch unlocked. I tried unpairing and paring again to see if that will resolve the problem but all of my efforts are useless. Please assist me to make my watch work.

I cannot speak to phone calls, but SMS/MMS requires that the iPhone be powered on, and connected to the Internet to send and receive SMS/MMS on your Apple Watch.

The Apple Watch cellular radio is data only (Apple Watch phone calls happen using VoIP; Voice over IP) , but SMS/MMS uses the cellular voice network, and the Apple Watch depends on the iPhone to provide the SMS/MMS services.

And of course the iPhone needs to have access to the cellular network as well.
