Pages doesn't open after the latest OS download (10.15.7).

After OS 10.15.7 was installed, Pages spins the color wheel indefinitely when I try to open it. Same thing happened after the previous OS upgrade arrived. A long call to Mac Help resolved it that time, but I don't recall the solution. It's unacceptable we must jump through such hoops with each upgrade. Any solutions out there, before I commit another morning to Mac Help?
