Hello, NicoleMarie17.

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities.

We understand that you’ve been attempting to install a supplemental update on your MacBook from the Mac App Store, but you’re getting an NSURLErrorDomain error code when you try.

If you’re on a later version of the macOS software, most of your supplemental updates should be available through System Preferences > Software Update. This article will explain:

If you’re running a previous macOS or OS X version, see if you can download it directly from here:

Warmest Regards.

NicoleMarie17,

Let's continue looking to see if we can find out why you're not able to download the update. You mentioned that you don't see a Software Update option when you open the  Apple menu. What is the current macOS version on your MacBook Pro? If you click on "About This Mac" from the dropdown you showed us in your screenshot, it should give you an exact version.

Let's go ahead and check how much storage you have available while you're in this section, too. Once you get the macOS version click on "Storage" and let us know what is says. If your download isn't completing it could be a storage issue.

Hi,

I tried it both ways following the instructions in the "How to Update..." I clicked in the apple symbol like the instructions said but it doesn't appear de "Software Update" to select it.

Also tried to download the update from the page you put but it doesn't finish downloading and it doesn't give me an error anymore; it still doesn't allow me to download any type of update, because i tried to download the las update available and nothing.

I fear that I have download a virus by mistake or something.

Please help.
