Disable airplay and enable chromecast

I somehow enabled airplay on my phone, but none of my TV’s are compatible with airplay. We have Chromecast and it will stream to my TV from my Netflix and YouTube TV.

the problem is I’m trying to stream a live sporting event and it’s only giving me the option for airplay. Can anyone help me to disable the airplay and somehow enable the chromecast?

Hello TKGSZ,

It sounds like you are experiencing issues using AirPlay and Chromecast with your iPhone. We understand how important this is to you and we are here to help.

AirPlay doesn't really have an on and off switch. It's a button you select when using a compatible video app. If you don't have an AirPlay compatible TV and you don't wish to use AirPlay, you would just not tap on the AirPlay button. More information can be found here: Use AirPlay to stream video or mirror your device’s screen

For using Chromecast, you would just have to be within a Chromecast-enabled application in order to cast it. More information can be found here: Cast video from Chromecast-enabled apps to your TV

Cheers!
