AirPlay malfunction

After updating my phones and iPad to iOS 16.2, my Airplay stopped functioning with my Denon and Marantz receivers. I have tried resetting my phone, modem, routers and receivers. Still nothing. Prior to iOS 16.2 it worked fine. It still works with AppleTV and iPods without a problem. Any suggestions?

You need to do a Network reset of your receiver (see your Marantz or Denon manual).

Something like input channel to "online music" or "heos" and press "back" and "enter" for 3 seconds.

After that (it takes a while) and reconfig of the network settings Airplay worked again for my case.

If your equipment is not working after an iOS / iPadOS update, it's possible that it needs a compatibility update for the actual hardware to bring it back to working condition. We'd advise reaching out to the manufacturer of those receivers or checking their website to find out if that is something that is available. You've done some great troubleshooting otherwise, so that would be the next likely step to take.
