The screen for lock screen is not detecting my touch

Hi, i've just updated my ipad to ipadOs 14.4 yesterday. Everything was fine after the update. But 1 hour later when i tried to unlock my ipad, it doesnt detect my touch to slide it up. At first i thought the screen is malfunctioning. But then when i tried to screenshot the screen using the power and volume button, i manage to edit it just fine using both the pencil and my finger.

Can anybody help me with this? Or is it a bug on the recent update

No, it might have been a temporary touch screen glitch.

In such circumstances, try a "forced" restart of your device:

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top (power) button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top (power) button. Only when the Apple logo appears (it might take 20-40 seconds), release that button (ignore all other screens that might appear).
