how do I stop the music app from cutting when I open whatsapp? It’s very annoying to have to swipe down to press play to continue the song this is happening on my 11 pro it’s so fu**kin annoying please. And I’ve already restarted my phone, it works for a while and then goes back.

I have the same issue. I figured it had something to do with the microphone. A short term fix is to turn off WhatsApp’s access to the microphone in settings > WhatsApp.
It will mean that you can still use it for messaging without interruption but obviously not calls or voice messages.
Useful if you’re at the gym or similar but not an everyday fix.
WhatsApp definitely need to sort the bug out!

Here’s how to fix it for now
1 - Turn off Microphone access for WhatsApp in the settings
2 - Open Music - play a song
3 - Open WhatsApp
4 - Change Microphone back to allowed in the settings
Which Music App? Apple Music?

How can I stop that
I noticed having this issue as well after having installed the latest iOS update yesterday evening. Whenever I play music (Spotify/ SoundCloud/MixCloud) and I then open Whatsapp the music is paused. I have to swipe down to press play, then swipe up to go back to Whatsapp and continue texting. Very annoying.
I think it's related to Whatsapp because it happens both with Spotify and Apple Music. It's annoying, I agree.
